Jill Biden gets trolled for ‘complicated’ Valentine’s Day decorations as she covers the White House in handmade hearts

JILL Biden was mocked for her “stylish” Valentine’s Day decorations online as she covered the White House in homemade hearts.

The East Wing has been decorated with colorful drawings from middle school, while a giant heart rests on the North Lawn.

The colorful drawings contain the words “hope”, “kindness”, “peace” and “love”.

Dr. Biden previously said Valentine’s Day is one of her favorite holidays because it’s an “all about love” occasion.

Approximately 20 second graders from Aiton Elementary School in Washington and their teacher Alejandro Diasgranados will visit The White House today.

The group will also see artwork crafted in the shape of the Bidens’ new dog Commander and their cat Willow, washington articles reported.

Students designed two hearts using a template provided by Biden’s office.

However, the drawings have been described by critics as “confusing”.

One said: “Jill Biden has one ‘wish’ that she can cling to – she’s the toughest First Lady ever.”

Another reviewer shared an online meme containing hearts with phrases like “China”, “divided” and “sleepy” in what appeared to be a dig at the administration.

Some critics have extravagantly stated President Biden Draw the hearts themselves while others label the hearts as “crippled and tasteless”.

Despite the criticism, some fans have been admiring the decor.

One said: “Love is shown and painted… love takes patience and that’s why she can do it because she has it.”

And another chimed in when they said: “I love Jill Biden. Good with her choices. ”

That is the second year in which the maidens marked the holiday at the White House.

Last year’s decorations featured red, pink and white hearts containing the words “solidarity”, “healing” and “courage”.

The first lady’s office said the decorations were “her unexpected Valentine’s message to the country.”

Journalists were told at the time: “As you may know, the First Lady is known for her sense of humour, fondness for surprises and traditions of celebration, especially with her family.

“Sending a message of healing, solidarity, hope and compassion, this is her valentine to the country.”

“I just wanted a little fun,” said Dr. Biden. I think that’s how it is – with the pandemic – everyone is feeling a bit down, so it’s just a little bit of fun, a little bit of hope. “

During Joe’s first year as vice president under the Obama administration, Jill painted the windows of his office with a heart that read “Joe loves Jill.”

It comes just months after Twitter users branded the first lady The “ugly” Christmas tree.

The fir tree, housed in the Green Room, is covered with white doves bearing the names of the states of the United States in alphabetical order.

Online social media users asked “Where’s the color”, while others called the center piece “boring” and said it looked like a tree with a giant night light.

“Gifts from the Heart” was the theme of the first White House of the president Christmas.
