JEWEL, 48, looked unrecognizable when she was spotted making a rare appearance in New York City on Monday.
The ’90s icon donned a striking outfit after promoting her new album on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
Pictured Monday, Jewel was dressed to impress in a brightly colored striped suit in shades of yellow, red, blue, black and white.
Under the impressive two-piece suit, she showed off her toned stomach in a loosely laced red corset.
The singer held her baby dog Sir Hep Hep under her arm as she smiled for the camera.
Jewel, who rose to fame with her 1995 debut album Who Will Save Your Soul, made sure her accessories and makeup were equally dramatic.
She paired the playful suit with a patterned tie and black fedora hat for a bohemian look, and sported dramatic winged eyeliner with a hint of blue.
The Utah native wore a pair of platform boots as she strode the streets of the Big Apple.
On her fingers, she wore a selection of chunky statement rings and bracelets in shades of turquoise.
This new vibrant style is a big change for hitmaker The Standing Still, who was always spotted in demure outfits during her ’90s heyday.
AS SEEN WITH SETH
Earlier that day, the four-time Grammy-nominated artist picked up her guitar for a performance of her new song Alibis on NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers.
She looked delighted to perform, smiling behind the mic and wearing the same outfit she was previously spotted in.
The performance was to promote her album Freewheelin’ Woman, which was released on her own record label in April.
BEHIND THE MASK
But it wasn’t the first time the singer-songwriter has appeared on a major TV show lately.
Last year, she was revealed to be the Queen of Hearts after winning season 6 of The Masked Singer.
Jewel was overcome with emotion after the win and spoke to presenter Nick Cannon.
“It was really touching that people would just react to your voice without knowing anything else.”
