Jessica Pegula stuns fans by drinking beer after US Open loss, claims it helps her ‘doping’

TENNIS star Jessica Pegula resigned with a beer in her post-match press conference after being eliminated at the US Open.

The Ox native, 28, was no match for number one seed Iga Swiatek as the Pole triumphed 6-3, 7-6 at Flushing Meadows.

Pegula’s run to the last eight was her best performance at the US Open to date, improving on a third-round finish last year.

But it capped a frustrating year for the US top star, who was eliminated from three Slams in the quarterfinals in 2022.

Pegula appeared at a packed press in Queens after her defeat, where she pulled a Heineken beer from her bag.

A journalist from ESPN complimented her unusual choice and the US star replied: “Thanks! I’m trying to pee because of doping.”

She then added: “Although it does help mitigate the loss.”

Pegula was able to beat Swiatek six times in the contest, but was unable to take advantage of the favorite from the preliminary round.

And she tried to stay positive after another “what-if” in a slam.

She continued, “I go back and forth. I’m like, ‘Oh, I should be positive.’

“But at the same time I’m like, ‘Shit, three quarterfinals’; Sorry, but it just sucks. it sucks

“I wish I could have done it here at my home slam, but I don’t think so.”

Pegula is the daughter of Terry Pegula, the 434th richest person in the world who made a fortune of $4 billion from natural gas exploration.

The self-made businessman owns the NFL giants Buffalo Bills, who begin their NFL season Sept. 8 against the LA Rams.

Amazingly, she’s richer than Roger Federer, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova TOGETHER.
