Jermain Defoe has abandoned his girlfriend Donna and her dog for his now estranged wife, also named Donna

FOOTIE ace Jermain Defoe dumped a woman named Donna-Louise with a dog named Defoe before dating his wife Donna.

Donna-Louise Boyle, 34, was heartbroken as the former Spurs and England striker, 40, brushed her off.

The two were so close that they even shared a chow chow dog named Kai Lion Defoe, who has his own Instagram account.

Snapshots of TV pundit Defoe with the dog can still be seen on his public social media profile.

They include one of him petting Kai outside in May 2021, three months before he proposed to now-estranged wife Donna Tierney.

Both women hail from Glasgow, where Defoe was then playing for Rangers.

Defoe and mum-of-a Donna, 40, were married in a lavish £200,000 ceremony paid for by OK! magazine last summer.

They met after he messaged on social media and met when she asked him for a Rangers shirt autograph for a charity event.

A source said of Defoe’s split from Donna-Louise: “It was a really bad time in her life. She loved Jermain and it hit her for six.

“It was a bitter pill for Donna-Louise to swallow, but she’s walked away from Jermain now.”

Scottish Donna-Louise is the boss of the Cocoberry chocolate shop in Glasgow and is said to still live with Kai.

The Sun on Sunday told last week how Defoe hooked up with influencer Alisha LeMay, 31, after splitting from “wife” Donna.

There are no records of Defoe’s marriage to her at the local registry office.

OK! splashed the wedding across 14 pages and the front page but didn’t have a reporter or snapper there, using images the couple gave.

No pictures of anyone marrying her have been released.

We told in October how just weeks after his wedding, Defoe texted a nurse begging for sex.

The former West Ham, Portsmouth and Sunderland ace, who scored 227 career goals, tried to lure them into a frolic in his Range Rover.

Donna-Louise refused to speak when contacted.
