SOBBING Jennifer Lopez thanked her ‘lying exes’ as she was honored at the MTV Movie and TV Awards for her three decades of achievement.
The US singer and actress, 52, wiped away tears as she opened up about the impact of her love life.
She said on stage: “Since you can’t create the truth unless you’ve actually lived it, I have a different kind of thank you tonight.
“I want to thank the people who have brought me joy and those who have broken my heart.
“Those who were true and those who lied to me.
“I want to thank true love and I want to thank the way I lied to myself. Because that’s how I knew I had to grow.
“I want to thank disappointment and failure for teaching me to be strong and my children for teaching me to love.”
“I want to thank all the people who said to my face or when I wasn’t in the room that I couldn’t do this.
“I really don’t think I could have made it without you.”
Her emotional speech while accepting the Generation Award at the ceremony at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica left fans trying to guess who she meant.
