Jenna Ortega’s mother Natalie has furiously criticized her smoking habit after new photos show the 20-year-old actress puffing on a cigarette
JENNA Ortega’s mother Natalie penned a new post on social media aimed at her famous daughter.
Jenna, 20, is the star of Netflix series Wednesday, the star of Scream 6 and she will be starring in the upcoming Beetlejuice sequel.

Earlier this week, the actress was caught out with fellow actor Gideon Aldon in Notting Hill, west London.
The American actresses enjoyed a day out over a few drinks – and smoking cigarettes.
The video of Jenna smoking went viral online, and now her mom Natalie, who according to her Instagram bio is also a nurse, is speaking out.
In her Instagram story, she published a series of photos that illustrate the health risks of smoking.
Natalie listed lung cancer, cigarette stench, damaged teeth and gums, cataracts, brittle bones, and oral cancer.
Before going into the details, she posted a meme of Gollum from The Lord of the Rings.
The meme said: “Don’t believe these lies about cigarettes being harmful to you. I’ve smoked most of my 21 years and I’m doing great!”
She also posted a screenshot, which read: “The problem with smoking is that most people find the smell repulsive. That quickly contradicts the image, which looks ‘cool’.”
Another post said, “No matter who you are or how big you get, always surround yourself with people who tell you the truth.”
Her last post said: “A mother is always a mother. She never stops worrying about her children, even when they are all grown and have children of their own.”
Natalie’s anti-cigarette campaign on social media appeared to be a message to her famous daughter in hopes of getting her to quit smoking.

Fans of the Netflix star gave their opinion on Natalie’s post on Reddit and have mixed feelings.
One fan didn’t like the public nature of the post and said: “Can she WhatsApp this to her kid or something oh my god?”
Other fans liked the mothering of the post: “Oh she must have just found out at the same time as us…this is a very motherly post lol.”
Another said: “This is the most mommy shit I’ve ever seen in my life and that’s what I’m here for.”
Additional Reddit users focused on the fact that Jenna is a child star, saying, “Honestly after reading so many child star horror stories about their parents who encouraged them to drink and do drugs from a young age gain weight,
“It’s quite gratifying to see the 20-year-old former child star’s mother gushed about ‘Not Crazy Just Disappointed Mom’ after finding out her child smokes.”
More fans focused on the health aspects, saying: “I have to say as a doctor that on the off chance that someone I know ever becomes famous and then gets photographed smoking, that’s what I’m doing, lol.”
Someone else commented, “The way her fans are trying to say it’s okay and act like it’s an attractive thing is CRAZY.”
FANS ON DEFENSE
Many of her fans are furious at the outrage and have been quick to defend her on Twitter.
“I don’t get what the big deal is Jenna Ortega smoking a cigarette? She is an independent person. Let her do what she wants,” one person tweeted.
Another said: “You guys really want to try and cancel Jenna Ortega because she smoked a cigarette? Wtf.”
And a third fan added: “I’m sure Jenna Ortega cares that she doesn’t freak out over smoking a cigarette, what will she ever do?”
A fourth person commented: “Why is everyone so disgusted that Jenna Ortega smokes? 70% of the population smoke, that’s nothing new, leave them alone lmao.”
And someone else fumed: “Can we please stop talking about Jenna Ortega smoking a fag? Why the hell do you all care that you all flinch?”
Another fan tweeted: “I like Jenna Ortega but I don’t like smoking BUT it’s her life bro. She could do whatever she wants.”
Jenna herself has yet to comment on the backlash. She is believed to be in London as production of the Beetlejuice sequel has begun.
