Stelling’s account posted a celebratory pic of pigs and blankets… with an X-rated twist.

A penis wrapped in bacon could be seen at the bottom right of the image.

The post was captioned, “I love cooking Christmas dinner, I always do it in the buff!”

Stelling, 67, was quick to explain to his followers what had happened.

He wrote: “My damn sons. All her gifts are going back!

“All Robbie gets is a Darlo shirt and Matt a ticket to a Palace game. FFS!!”

Stelling has three children with wife Liz; Robbie, 24, Matthew, 23 and Olivia, 19.

And blame for the adult post seemed to fall entirely on Robbie and Matthew.

The Football Saturday presenter, popular for more than 18 years, initially maintained the tweet before deciding to delete it.

When it was pointed out that he’d gotten rid of the post, he explained: “Deleted because while I found it funny – as did my boys who tweeted it – some people were offended.

“If it was you then, I’m sorry, but it seems we’re not allowed to laugh about anything these days.”

Stelling will be back on TV screens tomorrow when he hosts a special Boxing Day edition of Football Saturday.

He initially announced that he would quit the show last season before making a dramatic about-face later in the year.

Confirming the popular reversal at the time, Stelling said: “Sky Sports is my home and the Football Saturday team is a big part of my life.

“As the end of the season approached and I prepared to say goodbye, I realized I wasn’t ready to blow the final whistle and leave the best job in the world.

“I’m thrilled to stay and look forward to taking the show forward and creating more special Saturday afternoons on Sky Sports.”
