Jared Goff’s fiancee Christen Harper has been named SI Swimsuit Rookie of the Year but the stunning model has to share the award

JARED GOFF and his wife-to-be Christen Harper are having a year to remember.

Not only is the 28-year-old Lions quarterback back in shape in the NFL, but he got engaged to his fiancée Christen earlier this year.

And Harper is now celebrating another gong after being named one of their Rookies of the Year by Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.

Back in June, the couple headed to Mexico for a glittering weekend at El Dorado Golf and Beach Club.

Goff popped the question to his three-year-old girlfriend against a beautiful beach backdrop, and Christen called it “the best day of her life.”

Now there’s even more reason to celebrate after SI awarded her the coveted title on October 18th.

As an actress and model, Harper has 442,000 followers on Instagram and immediately took to social media to break the good news to her legions of fans.

She wrote: “Scream. Cry. The greatest honor of all time. Thanks @si_swimsuit. I love you so much.

“As a young girl, I looked up very much to the women who were honored with this title.

“Thinking that I’m in the same conversation as all the incredible women before me leaves me cold and inspires me to work even harder and dream even bigger.”

Earlier this year, she described how she was speechless at being a rookie at SI.

Harper continued, “I am so humbled, honored and frankly speechless to be a rookie in @si_swimsuit 2022.

“Every year SI pushes boundaries and this year is no different. I am very honored to be included in this group of inspiring women.”

Christen will share the gong with her close friend Katie Austin, giving the couple double honors.

SI Swimsuits Editor-in-Chief MJ Day broke the news to the two models in a video call earlier this week.

She said: “This whole brand is what you represent – fabulous people supporting each other and doing their thing bigger and better all the time.

“Truly motivated, smart individuals who keep creating opportunities for themselves and keep growing. They do it for each other, and they do it for random strangers, and they do it for us.

“It’s pretty awesome. There have never been two more worthy people.”

The two rookies are now invited to appear in next year’s magazine.

Harper and Goff revel in each other’s accomplishments, with the Detroit star already showing off a framed copy of the swimsuit spread.

While Christen was full of praise for her husband after he won the Air Player of the Week award in week 4 of the new season.

Goff’s 1-4 Lions return from a bye this weekend as they take on the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.
