LIVERPOOL legend Jamie Carragher was quick to take to social media to shed light on the sacking of Rafa Benitez at Everton.
The 61 years old was attacked by Toffees on Sunday afternoon after the club’s 2–1 loss to Norwich at Carrow Road.
He left the Merseyside team in 16th place in the table after 19 Premier League matches.
By Everton lost on Saturday to the Canaries which means they have only won once out of their last 13 top-flight matches.
And Carragher, who won the Champions League and FA Cup under Benitez at Anfield, is delighted about his contract termination at Goodison Park.
He posted a photo of Liverpudlian comedian Darren Farley dressed as Benitez in an Everton training kit with a Red Devils hat.
Notes for tweet, he simply said: “Rafa Benitez is fired.”
Fans were also quick to joke about ‘Agent Rafa’ on Twitter, as one account shared a photo of a crying Liverpool fan, where they commented: “Mom, they fired the Agent. Rafa.”

Another quipped: “Agent Rafa, thank you for your service.”
The fan then joked: “Agent Rafa Back to base. I repeat back to base.”
Meanwhile, another said simply: “Agent Rafa….return to HQ, job done.”
It read: “Everton Football Club can confirm the departure of Rafael Benitez as First Team coach.
“Benitez, who joined Everton in June 2021, left the Club immediately.
“An update on the permanent replacement will be made in due course.”
