Jamie Carragher hits back at Liam Gallagher’s tweet calling him a farewell after Man City sealed the Premier League title

JAMIE CARRAGHER had a real old ding-dong with Liam Gallagher after the Manchester City fan called him a ‘b**lend’.
Liverpool legend Carra furiously looked back at the singer’s tweet, telling him the newly crowned Premier League champions will “never win the Champions League”.

And he refused to let it go when he switched to Gallagher’s day job, claiming “Oasis are s***e compared to the Beatles.”
Former Oasis frontman Gallagher, 49, and Carragher, 44, were delighted and distressed respectively after one of the biggest final days in Premier League history.
City’s 3-2 comeback win over Aston Villa was offset by head-to-head rivals Liverpool, who beat Wolves 3-1.
But that home win apiece meant Gallagher’s heroes retained the title by a point.

And the resulting violent emotions spilled over onto Twitter.
Cheerful Gallagher didn’t have to ask what the story was as he posted: “What you say Carra you b** borrow.”
That lyrically worthy line was met with an equally robust, rhetorical reply from ex-England defender Carragher.
He replied: “I’m saying you’ll never win the Champions League & Oasis are s*** compared to the Beatles. It is working?”

The exchange sparked a supersonic reaction on social media.
A fan asked Gallagher: “Where’s your European Cup???
To which the Mancunian musician replied, “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.”
Even Specsavers chimed in with a painful jab at Carra and Galla: “Calm down, you both have the same number of Premier League medals.”
And a row has erupted over whether “just” winning the Prem is good enough for City – as Liverpool can complete a treble in trophies if they beat Real Madrid in next Saturday’s Champions League final.
In the City corner: “Man City had a better season than Liverpool. The Premier League is bigger than all the other cups combined. Only the best team actually wins the league.”
Jabs included: “A trophy for City (by a goal over an entire season) with all that money spent is a massive underachievement; Liverpool, on the other hand, are having an amazing season and still have a CL final with a chance of a treble.”
