Jake Paul responds to rumors that his rematch with veteran MMA fighter Tyron Woodley sold for less than 65,000 PPV

Jake Paul has responded to reports regarding pay-per-view purchases obtained from his rematch with Tyron Woodley. Paul notes that the “PPV number rumor” – suggesting the rematch generates less than 65,000 pay-per-view buys – is untrue.
On Twitter, ‘The Problem Child’ posted a few tweets as follows:
“PPV numbers rumors are rumors ** First game against Woodley, we sold 500k + The numbers for this one are still rolling but still looking good Not the best night of business of the bunch. me But remember.. Everyone wants to see me Vs. Fury and that’s what we sold.. ”

“Cradle to Showtime for riding with me and all the boxers on the tag, and Tyron for not being disparaged like most of these ‘boxers’..’
Shout out to Showtime for riding with me and all the boxers in the tag and Tyron for not being a bitch like most of these “boxers”..

Jake Paul won the December 18th rematch via KO in a spectacular sixth round. As reported by DAZN’s Steven Muehlhausen, the rematch drew less than 65,000 pay-per-view cable and satellite purchases.
Source: It’s known that Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley 2 “bombed” on cable/satellite PPV. The numbers are lower than November #AEW Full Gear has less than 65,000 purchases on terrestrial television. Unknown number of threads. #Boxing
However, Muehlhausen added that the amount of digital streaming is yet to be determined and “could be through the roof.”
@SMuehlhausenJr And it’s understandable. It’s holiday, PPV overkill and no need for a rematch with Woodley. Don’t get too hyped about this.
The digital numbers are passable because Showtime did a good job of streaming on Mayweather-Paul and Paul-Woodley 1. Can only report what I know on one end. Hopefully the streaming numbers did a great job. twitter.com/notoriousjtb/s…
Fighting sports icon Georges St-Pierre on “very smart businessman” Jake Paul
Jake Paul was scheduled to take on rival and young boxing star Tommy Fury in a much-awaited bout on December 18. Tommy is the half-brother of the heavyweight champion. WBC Tyson Fury.
Fury is expected to be a bigger test for Jake Paul than former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. 7-0 ‘TNT’ has more experience than ‘The Problem Child’ and ‘T-Wood’ in boxing.
On that note, the UFC Hall of Famer and MMA legend Georges St-Pierre spoke to SPORT concerning Paul’s business acumen and the fight between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury. GSP states:
“He is a very smart businessman. And I think so far, he’s done really well.” St-Pierre added, “Yes, he is now entering the real world of boxing. He’s going up against a real boxer. So we’ll see what he’s made of, you know. It will be in the same weight class, you know, no trick. So they’ll both know what they’re getting into. So it will be very interesting. I will tune for that song. “

Jake Paul lobbied for boxing matches against UFC megastars Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz towards the end. However, Masvidal and Diaz are still under contract with the UFC and are unlikely to disqualify Paul unless the promotion allows them to follow the contract.
That said, Tommy Fury – who pulled out of his December 18 fight with Jake Paul due to health problems – has vowed to fight the YouTube megastar in 2022. Paul and Fury’s next opponent and/or return date are both undisclosed.
