But problem child Paul has hinted that the impending birth of Fury’s first child with longtime girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague has devastated their fight.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer tweeted Wednesday, “Hold your horses.
“The man is having a baby.”
The Sun understands Molly-Mae is set to give birth in the coming weeks – although it’s unknown if she has or not.
The imminent arrival of her bundle of joy was a big factor in Fury’s decision to engage in a lucrative fight with former Disney star Paul.
During an appearance on The Disruptors podcast, he said, “I’ve earned my stripes.
“But if you’re going to smack me in the face for millions of pounds to fight Jake Paul, why won’t I?”
“I have a family to support every day – the reason I took on the Jake Paul fight is because it’s good financially.
“There are [a part of me that wants to shut him up] but he doesn’t get under my skin like that.
“He can’t get under my skin because I know what he’s doing.
“He’s a whiz on social media, he made a living being an idiot and arrogant and challenging people.
“It is what it is, but he can’t get under my skin.
“All I see with Jake Paul is a deal and if you want me to take down a man who can’t fight and throw millions of pounds in my face, no problem sign me up and that’s about it it here.
“I’ve been describing it all along as being on Route 66 and I have to pull up in my RV, fill up the gas and get back on the road.

“I’m on a straight and narrow road to world titles.
“But you want me to take a little detour for a lot of gas, get that, and then hop back on the road?”
“That’s exactly what I do here at the end of the day.
“It’s a deal; you have to use your head and any fighter in my position would take this fight if offered.”

Paul and Fury, 26 and 23 respectively, were due to fight each other for the first time in December 2021 but injuries and illness to the latter devastated the fight.
The pair’s grudge match was rescheduled for last August but fell apart when Fury struggled to enter the United States.
