Jake Guentzel, Tristan Jarry and Metropolitan Division Win the 2022 NHL All-Star Game – CBS Pittsburgh

LAS VEGAS (KDKA) – Jake Guentzel, Tristan Jarry, Metropolitan 2022 All-Star Team will split $1 million as champions of the 2022 NHL All-Star Game!

On a weekend when the NHL’s best players gathered to showcase all the league has to offer, Jake Guentzel made history.

With his nomination to the NHL All-Star Game in Vegas, he became the first Nebraska-born NHL player to be selected for the NHL All-Star Game.

Then, in the Metropolitan Division’s semi-final against the Pacific Division, Guentzel scored in the second half to give his team a 5-3 lead.

It ultimately proved to be the winning goal of the game for the Metropolitan Division.

Jarry faced eight shots, made five saves and scored a save rate of 0.625 in his 10 minutes.

Guentzel, Jarry and the rest of the Metropolitan Division All-Stars took on the Central Division in the final of the 2022 NHL All-Star Game.

In that game, Tristan Jarry came on to start the second half, with the Metropolitan Division leading 4-2.

Jarry conceded a goal to Joe Pavelski, putting Center in the lead.

From there, he closed the door, securing their lead and bringing the championship to the Metropolitan Division. Jarry made 14 saves on 15 shots and scored 0.933 in the title game.

Meanwhile, Guentzel set up Flyers captain Claude Giroux for the second goal of the game, giving him a goal and two assists of the day.

The Penguins are back in action on Tuesday in Boston when they meet the Bruins at 7:00 p.m
