The family created a GoFundMe . page, an online fundraising site, to help Jackson’s parents Aaron and Sheri Sparks.
GoFundMe was created by Alyssa Albro, Jackson’s cousin, who reported on Jackson and his brother Tucker, 12 years old.
Alboro wrote an update to the community, “Tucker, is recovering, but continues to have road fractures and skull fractures. They are closely monitoring his head and spine. He is now fine. determined”.
She went on to share Jackson’s state at the time, saying, “Jackson, 8, underwent brain surgery on Sunday night. Doctors will check brain function and brain stem activity today. Today (Monday, November 22nd) He needs a miracle”.
The fundraiser was established on November 22, 2021, the day after the incident.
The next day, she announced that Jackson had passed away, while Tucker was recovering and being discharged home.

The GoFundMe page read: “Tucker, by God’s grace is making a miraculous recovery and will be discharged home. This afternoon, our dear Jackson sadly battled his injuries and passed away,” the GoFundMe page wrote. .
Alboro expressed his gratitude to the child’s parents and informed the community that they are requesting privacy at this time to allow Tucker to continue to recuperate while they also mourn Jackson’s passing. .

Darrell Brooks were identified by police as the driver of the SUV and they are currently in custody.
Brooks, 39, is a convicted sex offender and currently has a public arrest warrant since 2016 in Nevada for disobeying sex crime laws.
