THE A-Team and Hawaii Five-O star Jack Ging has died aged 90, his wife has revealed.
Ging died of natural causes at his home in California on Friday, his wife Apache told the Hollywood Reporter.
The renowned NBC series with actors such as George Peppard, Dirk Benedict, Dwight Schultz and Mr T ran from 1983 to 1987.
The A-Team published the career of Mr. T, who portrayed the character of BA Baracus.
Ging starred as General Harlan “Bull” Fullbright, an antagonist who realizes that the series’ fortune hunters were good guys, not bad.
His character on the show ended when Fullbright was shot in the back during a rescue mission to save his daughter.
“It was a children’s show. They fired 10,000 machine guns from all the roofs and threw bombs and grenades, but no one was ever killed except me,” he said jokingly in an interview.
Ging has done most of his work in television, guest starring on shows like Bat Masterson, The Roaring 20s, The Twilight Zone, Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Six Million Dollar Man, and Hawaii Five-O.
On the big screen, Ging has starred in the films Ghost of Dragstrip Hollow, Desire in the Dust, That Man Bolt, Where the Red Far Grows and Die Sister, Die!
Ging is survived by his wife Apache and children: Adam, Casey, Erin, Charlie and Anna.
