This clip came just over two months after he was suspended by the Grizzlies and investigated by police after he was seen holding a gun at a Colorado nightclub in another Instagram Live.

On Wednesday, Morant took to the social media platform again, this time sharing worrying news.

The newsall of which were posted with photos and contained blue heart emojis were quickly deleted.

They read “I love you mom,” “I love you pops,” and “You’re the biggest baby, I love you.”

Morant’s last post simply said “Bye” along with a photo of him speaking to the media.

In response, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare inspection at his Tennessee home TMZ.

A spokesperson told the medium “that he’s taking a break from social media” and that “he’s fine.”

The former second draft pick’s NBA status remains unknown following this latest incident.

Some fans on Twitter suggested that the Grizzlies should ax Morant following this latest incident.

One such fan tweeted, “Are we getting to the point where the Grizzlies have to take a loss and drop Morant?”

Another said: “In the end, Memphis may have to trade or maybe even drop Ja Morant. This is crazy, but he did it to himself (the Grizzlies/NBA got him that silly 8-game ban)”

While one wrote: “1) Yes Morant needs new friends. His environment doesn’t help him. And maybe he’s the bad influence.”

“2) Ja needs a longer ban or he’ll never learn. Is a full season out of the question?

“3) If I’m the boss of the Grizzlies, I’ll look into ways to sever ties with his contract.”

And while there are still no comments from NBA insiders suggesting Morant could be cut, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has claimed “a significant suspension” could be imminent.

I keep talking Stand upHe said: “I think that if he did actually hold a firearm in that video, Ja Morant could face a long and significant suspension at the start of next season.”

Wojnarowski added, “Even other teams in the NBA will be pushing that this isn’t just hurting the Memphis Grizzlies, it’s hurting the league.”

“I don’t think Adam Silver will take this lightly.”

During the recent draft lottery, league commissioner Silver said ESPNMalika Andrews: “To be honest I was shocked when I saw this video this weekend.

“Now we’re in the process of investigating, and we’re going to find out exactly what happened as best we can. The video is a bit grainy and all, but I’m assuming the worst.”
