Morant, 23, played in the Grizzlies’ 112-100 win over the Pacers that night on the FedExForum.

During the bad-tempered game, Morant’s longtime friend, Vomste Pack, entered the court and began objecting to Pacer players and staff.

The competition was briefly suspended, with Morant’s father Tee also reportedly being involved in the verbal sparring.

According to reports in The Athletic, “acquaintances of Morant” confronted members of the Pacers tour group outside the arena after the incident.

This allegedly happened while the Pacers players and coaches were waiting in the stadium’s loading bay for the team bus.

The report claims that a slow-moving SUV – with Morant as a passenger – drove past with a red laser emanating from the vehicle.

One person anonymously told The Athletic, fearing retaliation, they felt they were in “great danger” with fears the laser could be attached to a weapon.

The NBA launched an investigation into the incident and has since banned “certain individuals” from the arena.

A statement said: “NBA security and league investigators conducted an investigation, interviewing numerous eyewitnesses and reviewing CCTV, following allegations by the Indiana Pacers organization regarding a post-game incident on Jan. 29 .

“Although we have established through interviews and other evidence collected that a post-game situation arose that was confrontational, we have not been able to confirm that an individual threatened others with a weapon.

“Certain individuals involved in the post-game situation and a related matter during that evening’s game were subsequently banned from attending games at the arena.

“If additional information on the post-game situation becomes available, the league office will conduct a further review.”

Morant claimed on social media on February 5 that his “brother” had been banned from home games for a “year”.

Morant wrote: “Inquiry shows you are cappin[sic].

“Nevertheless, have an article come out to paint this negative picture of me and my family.

“[Sic]Banned my brother from home games for a year. Unbelievable.”

Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins confirmed Sunday that the matter had been “addressed internally” by the organization.

Jenkins added, “The NBA has conducted a full investigation, we have fully complied.”
