“I’ve never heard a player say they don’t like being there” – Aakash Chopra believes the player will run through walls for CSK

Former Indian Opener Aakash Chopra feel Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has built a solid reputation over the years. The franchise has a knack for experienced players, an approach that has paid off enormously for them.

Recently IPL 2022 At major auctions, the defending champions tried to bring in their key players, with established names with years of experience. They went all out for Deepak Chahar, making him the franchise’s most expensive item at auction.

Praising CSK’s approach, Chopra said on his YouTube channel:

“Many people say that CSK is Dad’s Army or Dad’s Army, but it’s not. CSK follows a philosophy. That philosophy is that they always try to bring their players back. CSK is a brand. brand that i have never heard a player say that they don’t like to play.players pass the walls for MS Dhoni and the franchise they try to get all their players in the auction .”

CSK was the first franchise to fulfill its overseas quota and maximum 25 player limit at the major auction. They covered all of their bases with a rich blend of youth and experience during the two-day event. Chopra sees CSK’s bowling of death as their biggest concern, Chopra said:

“If you look through a lens, you can see that death bowling can be a concern. They didn’t catch Josh Hazlewood; he used to hit the dead ball. Bravo wasn’t the same as before. Chahar and Milne it’s your newbie- The pitcher. That’s the only potential weakness I can see. But that won’t worry MS Dhoni in the slightest. He won’t lose sleep over this.”

The four-time IPL winners tried to bring in Josh Hazlewood, but lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who won Rs 7.75 crore. The right-handed player has improved his death bowling ability. He played a tight super in Australia’s win over Sri Lanka in the second T20I.

“Good chance for Chahar to become omnipotent” – Aakash Chopra

CSK has struggled with a number of franchises, including Royal’s late bid, to retain Deepak Chahar’s services. The franchise raked in a record Rs 14 crore for the right-handed bowler.

Chopra noted that all the young players at CSK have huge opportunities to improve under Dhoni, saying:

“Good opportunity for Chahar to be all-rounder. It’s an extraordinary opportunity. Prasanth Solanki has a great opportunity because he can develop under Dhoni. Also, a good opportunity for Ruturaj Gaikwad go to the next level; he was there, but could go even higher. Even Dube for that matter, he was wasted at RCB and RR. He could have reached his full potential. my power here.”

Shivam Dube was started by CSK for Rs 4 crore at auction. This all-round player has taken on a variety of roles during his spells at RCB and RR. “I’ve never heard a player say they don’t like being there” – Aakash Chopra believes the player will run through walls for CSK
