ITV reveal Phillip Schofield has gotten a new primetime show despite leaving This Morning

ITV has announced Phillip Schofield has gotten a new primetime show despite his departure from This Morning.
Today the 61-year-old presenter announced he was leaving the ITV daytime show “effective immediately”.
And since his exit became known, ITV have announced how they intend to replace Phillip and revealed his upcoming TV projects.
They shared that despite his departure from This Morning, the star has gotten a new primetime show.
“Phillip will continue to present peak time programs for ITV including next month’s The British Soap Wards and a new prime time series,” the channel said.
The statement also said: “After more than 20 years on the This Morning couch, Phillip Schofield has retired from ITV’s flagship morning show after presenting his final episode on Thursday 18 May.
“Holly Willoughby will remain with This Morning and will co-host with members of the This Morning family.”
This comes after Phillip penned a statement to his social media fans detailing that he was leaving the show.
Phillip wrote: “I’ve always prided myself on covering fascinating stories on This Morning, but lately This Morning has become a story itself.”
“Throughout my career in television – including the very difficult last few days – I have always tried my best to be honorable and kind.
“I understand that ITV has decided the current situation cannot continue and I want to do what I can to protect the show I love.”
“As a result, I have agreed to step down from This Morning, effective immediately, in the hope that the show can see a bright future.”
“I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially the amazing viewers of This Morning – and see you all at the Soap Awards next month.”
Following the news, Holly took to her social media to gush about her now-former co-star, thanking him for his “knowledge and humor.”
She wrote, “It’s been an amazing 13 years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all his knowledge, experience and humor.”
Holly added, “The sofa isn’t going to feel the same without him.”
