‘It took me 20 seconds to say yes’

TYRON WOODLEY reveals it took him ’20 seconds to say yes’ to a rematch with Jake Paul after Tommy Fury withdrew.
Paul beat Woodley in eight rounds in August, with Fury winning over YouTuber partner Anthony Taylor.
It set up a major celebrity hate show to be held on December 18 in Florida.
But Fury this week passed away with broken ribs and a chest infection, while Woodley has signed on as his replacement.
The former UFC champion was campaigning for a rematch with Paul, 24 years old, so did not hesitate to accept the opportunity forewarned.
Woodley, 39, said: “When I got the call about this game, I was training and thinking I’m going to hit four times next year.
“I was ready to fight in January. It took me 20 seconds to say yes and here we are.
“Things turned out the way they were supposed to. Anyway, this was the fight that was supposed to happen.

“Many people were excited about this fight. These things happen for a reason.
“Very few times you get the chance to go back and do what you did.
“You often regret the way a fight went, and now I have the opportunity to undo them. That really excites me.”
In Paul’s first three fights, he beat YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, former NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But his win over eight rounds over former UFC champion Woodley was his biggest win to date.
Fury, 22, is set to be his first opponent with professional experience before Brit withdraws.

And it gave Woodley a chance to atone for not getting the job done the first time.
He said: “The fact that Jake could walk around and say he hit me makes my blood boil.
“So I’ll make it clear that I’m the better boxer. I’ll be the boxer with the better conditions in this fight.
“You wouldn’t know who had all the time preparing for this match. It was like the first time.
“I helped him down and put him on the rope. He’s cranky and sulky. It’s going to be the same thing again.”
