‘It could be fun’ – Steve Davis plans to play drugged snooker against legend Dennis Taylor and stream it on YouTube

Retired world champion Steve Davis has shockingly claimed he wants to play snooker on drugs and stream it on YouTube.
The Ginger Magician had a legendary career at the top of the sport before retiring in 2016.

Throughout Davis’ career, snooker bosses have cracked down on drug use within the sport.
As the rules tightened, Davis thrived, winning six world championships in eight years during the 1980s.
Now that he’s happily retired, the 64-year-old doesn’t mind experimenting a bit.
Speaking on the Chatabix podcast, Davis admitted he’d like to have a little fun.
He said: “Snooker went down the drug testing route in the ’80s to try and make it Olympic ready, so all the ’80s snooker players were drug tested.
“I thought it might be pretty fun now that I’m retired to do a YouTube channel where you actually play snooker on a variety of different things to see what it was like.
“I know there is one who puts IKEA furniture together in flatpacks with a variety of different medicines. I think that would be a great idea.
“It would be a fun thing. You could do an A and think it’s a 147.”

Davis, now commentating for the BBC, would like to include old rival Dennis Taylor.
The duo put on an amazing battle for the world championship in 1985, in which Taylor prevailed 18-17 in a classic.
Discussing his crazy idea, Davis joked, “I might try to convince Dennis Taylor that we could recreate the 1985 World Cup.
“I can only see it through his fogged up glasses.”
