spider head starring Chris Hemsworth, Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett, is finally set to land on Netflix on June 17, and people are more than ready to set their eyes on the thriller.

spider head is a Netflix Original film directed by Joseph Kosinski from a screenplay co-written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. It is a film adaptation of the dystopian short story Escape from Spider Head by George Saunders.

The story takes place in a society in the near future. It follows two inmates who form a bond while incarcerated in a prison run by a visionary who offers inmates mysterious experimental drug testing programs. If prisoners choose to participate in the programs, they receive a reduced sentence. Obviously the warden has ulterior motives for his programs, so the two inmates must work together to survive whatever is thrown at them.

In addition to Hemsworth, Teller and Smollett, the film stars Tess Haubrich, BeBe Bettencourt, Charles Parnell, Nathan Jones, Mark Paguio, Joey Vieira and many others. That’s the way it is spider head suitable for children? We’ve answered that burning question right below!

Spiderhead’s Guide to Parents and Age Ratings

The thriller film is rated R which means it may be unsuitable for children under 17 years old. It received this rating due to some of the content presented in the film that many parents would find inappropriate for younger children. The film shows violent and sexual content, alcohol and drug use and the use of various weapons. There will also be light gory content and profanity used by some of the characters. It is important to note that while there is sexual content, no nudity is shown. Nevertheless, we recommend watching spider head when the children are covered and ready for bed.
