Is the movie suitable for children?

One of the most anticipated Netflix movies of 2021 is here, and fans of Adam McKay can’t wait to see his latest release. Don’t look up is a satirical film represents the climate crisis and how badly people in power around the world are handling that problem. It will certainly make viewers angry with the way many characters act, that’s the point.

In Don’t look up, the world is facing the deadliest threat in history when a comet is heading towards the planet at high speed. In just a short amount of time, it will destroy the Earth and all of humanity. But unfortunately for Dr. Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Kate (Jennifer Lawrence), the two astronomers at Michigan State University who discovered the comet, people either don’t believe them or simply don’t care. .

Do not look up ratings

The new movie hits Netflix today, December 24, just in time for the holidays. But is this a movie you can watch with the whole family? Oh no. Don’t look up Rated R and not suitable for children.

Don’t look up includes a lot of profanity, as well as some drug use. While the movie is actually funny at some point, it can also be seen as scary towards the end (no spoilers).

No nudity lookup

Biggest reason Don’t look up Rated R and not suitable for children, however, nudity is likely. There is some nudity throughout the film, but there is graphic nudity in the scene between the credits. The plot is not allowed to be revealed, many people are seen completely nude for a few minutes, revealing the front and back.

If nudity is what keeps you from showing it to children or teenagers Don’t look up, you can simply skip the mid-credits scene and watch it alone later.

The movie is intended for adults to watch, but if you’re considering letting a kid watch it with you, check out IMDb’s Detailed Parent’s Guide right here.
