But the featherweight contender fought on to win on points, falling short with a closed left eye due to his issues
Amazingly, Loughnane revealed his eye had all but recovered just a day later.
He tweeted: “24 hours later. Is that normal?”
Loughnane, 32, won his two playoff fights in the Professional Fighters League and scored six points for the two playoffs.
It was enough for him to qualify for the last four knockout rounds, where he meets American rival Chris Wade, 34.
Loughnane’s semi-final against Wade will be a home British game scheduled for August 20 at the Copper Box Arena in London.
Winning is a chance to fight in the $1M Winner Takes All final.
Celebrating his recent post-fight win with a can of PFL sponsored Bud Light, Loughnane said: “I have to be better, but I will be better.

“It’s just not good enough that I’m a perfectionist and should stop guys like that. I just didn’t pull the trigger
“He was extremely awkward what the hell this guy was doing. If you go into a technical match with me, I’ll have it, but that guy hadn’t read the script.
“He just threw shit out of nowhere. Not to put him down. But I feel like I stooped to his level tonight.”
