We knew that day had come, but we didn’t think it would come so soon. It has been rumored that one of Netflix’s top superhero series, Jessica Joneswill be leaving streamers and die-hard fans who need clarity.
After the release of the successful superhero series Daredevil on Netflix in April 2015, Marvel fans were excited to learn that another Marvel series would be added to the show in the same year. In November 2015, Jessica Jones will be eliminated and the world will never be the same.
Jessica Jones Follows a former superhero who tries to remake his life by opening his own detective agency. Krysten Ritter played the title character and was praised for her incredible performances each season. The show received mostly positive reviews from critics as well as viewers. It is highly regarded for its character development, complex plot, intense action sequences, tone, acting, and handling of heavy issues.
Jessica Jones and Daredevil These aren’t the only two Marvel superhero series added to the streamer. Netflix signed a big deal with Marvel in 2013 and over the years Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Who punished, and Defenders short film. This has brought more Marvel shows to Netflix’s catalog, and fans couldn’t be happier.
Unfortunately, Netflix and Marvel split in 2019 and all Marvel shows from the Defenders series have been cancelled. Although this is bad news, fans are still happy that they can still come back and see it all Marvel show on Netflix. But now it looks like fans won’t get the chance to do that anytime soon.
Is Jessica Jones leaving Netflix?
It appeared like that. According to the report of What’s on Netflix on February 11, Jessica Jones and all of Marvel are showing part of the Defenders series, which will launch from Netflix on March 1, 2022.
Apparently, the removal date doesn’t show up on any of the show’s title pages or on mobile devices. Instead, they’re only visible when you first see a Marvel series on your profile.
We’re not surprised that all of the Marvel shows will be leaving Netflix as the partnership between Netflix and Marvel has long since ended. Additionally, Disney owns Marvel, and Disney has begun removing its shows from Netflix. No removal dates have yet been set for the Marvel shows.
Netflix hasn’t confirmed any Marvel show removals, but an announcement should be made soon.
Where to watch Jessica Jones
There are two streaming services Jessica Jones can be directed to: Disney + or Hulu. Since Marvel is owned by Disney, it would make sense for the superhero series to switch to Disney+, but it could also move to Hulu since Hulu already has Marvel content on its platform. The same goes for other Marvel Netflix shows.
Marvel has not announced where their shows will be available to watch after leaving Netflix. We’ll keep you updated with any news on Marvel Netflix shows.
