World of Warcraft was apparently affected

Battle.net, Blizzard’s online gaming platform, recorded more than 500 reports after midday UK time alone.

But there seemed to be problems all morning.

Is Battle.net down?

Shortly after 9am UK time, the company said on Twitter that it was investigating an issue affecting its authentication servers.

This may result in failed or slow login attempts.

At 11 a.m., the company informed players: “We apologize once again for the inconvenience caused by today’s outages. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”

The Down Detector messages decrease, indicating that the issue may have been resolved.

It’s not clear how widespread the outage was.

How can I check if Battle.net is down?

The first place worth checking is social media to see if other players are having the same problem.

Blizzard’s official X/Twitter accounts are also worth a look.

The October 5th editions were published on @BlizzardCSEU_EN.
