Is Australia vs Peru on TV? Channel, live stream, kick-off time and team news for the 2022 World Cup play-offs

AUSTRALIA meets Peru in an intercontinental play-off to decide who gets one of the last two available World Cup spots.

The Australians were in bad taste for much of their qualifying campaign, missing out on an automatic Qatar spot when they were beaten 2-0 at home to Japan.

However, they bounced back and secured a 2-1 win over United Arab Emirates in the Asian play-offs to reach that stage.

Peru will be happier with their qualifying performances having secured fifth place in South America’s notoriously tough qualifying marathon.

Leonardo Gareca’s men finished 2018 World Cup qualifiers in the same position before beating New Zealand in the play-off.

Unlike previous intercontinental play-offs which had a home and away format, this play-off will take place over a single leg in Qatar.

Will Australia vs Peru be shown on TV and can I stream it live?

Australia vs Peru is not scheduled to be shown on UK television at this time.

However, there is hope that a later deal can be agreed, as happened in the game between Australia and UAE, which was shown on streaming platform OneFootball.

Channel 10 is showing the game for free in Australia.

In the United States, you can watch on Fox Sports 1 (English) or Universo (Spanish), while streaming is available on FuboTV.

Team News

Australia are unlikely to make any dramatic changes to the line-up that defeated the United Arab Emirates last week.

Trent Sainsbury is likely to replace young Kyle Rowes after he is fit again.

Nathaniel Atkinson could be replaced by Fran Karacic after struggling at right-back against United Arab Emirates.

Tom Rogic is Australia’s only injured absentee and has already left the squad.

Luis Advincula and Renato Tapia returned from uneasiness in the last few days to start training for Peru which means they are likely to start there.

Otherwise the Peruvians have a clean health certificate.
