iPhone 15 might have Vision Pro ‘Spatial Photos’

Apple may be considering integrating the iPhone to capture spatial video and photos that integrate with the Vision Pro headset.

According to a leaker on social media platform Weibo, Apple will have an iPhone Ultra version that can handle spatial photos and videos. The leaker went on to claim that the model would “make the market reconsider what kind of photos and videos a phone should take,” noting the advanced photo capture technology.

The Vision Pro is believed to have multiple outward-facing sensors for collecting data points like depth maps, and inward-facing sensors for the front view. Since spatial videography and photography rely on multiple sensors to set the distance, the Vision Pro is perfect.

For this to happen, Apple may need to add additional sensors to the iPhone Ultra to achieve the separation effect. Apple is no stranger to the tech, making the rumor plausible.
