Instagram influencer Larissa Borges, 33, dies suddenly after suffering a “double cardiac arrest” that left her in a coma

A 33-year-old influencer has died after suffering “double cardiac arrest”.
Instagram star Larissa Borges died Monday after being hospitalized in a coma for over a week.
The young woman was first admitted on August 20 after reportedly suffering cardiac arrest in the city of Gramado in her native Brazil, according to her family’s social media posts.
But after a second cardiac arrest, the sports student unfortunately died.
Larissa had built a following of more than 30,000 people online, where she shared selfies, pictures from her travels, and insights into health and fitness.
Just three days before her hospitalization, Larissa – who hails from Brasília – shared a photo of herself posing in Gramado, wearing a black puffer coat and checked skirt.
Other images, released just a day before the cardiac arrest, show the influencer in a trendy all-black outfit with a tag indicating she had been to the city’s cinema festival during her visit.
After she was hospitalized, her loved ones took over her account and shared updates on her condition, with fans flocking to the comments to send congratulations.
The tragic news of Larissa’s death was announced yesterday and she was said to have “bravely” fought for her life.
The young woman’s family is now asking for donations to be able to transport Gramado’s body to her hometown.
A family member wrote: “Any amount, however small, will make a difference and help ease the financial burden on the family at this very difficult time.”
Local police are reportedly investigating the death.
