Instagram adds ‘Posts you’ve viewed’ feature that lists EVERY photo you’ve viewed – how to find photos

INSTAGRAM has a new feature that allows users to keep track of all the different posts and profiles you have viewed while scrolling continuously.
It is designed to prevent you from losing those precious photos that you may have glimpsed but might want to find again.
What is Instagram’s ‘Posts You’ve Seen’ feature?
Apps move at a fast pace, so Instagram seems to want it easier to keep track of what you like.
This feature was first discovered by the social media consultant and Instagram account Matt Navarra, with help from the tech site WABetaInfo.
The Instagram feature is the answer to a problem the app has had for a long time.
When Instagram shows posts in chronological order, it’s easy to find posts you’ve previously viewed – just by scrolling down.
But now Instagram shows posts based on an algorithm, taking them out of chronological order.
This means you can go through a post and then struggle to find it again.
Likewise, you can end up with someone’s profile and forget to follow them, only to find yourself searching for them again.
The “Posts You’ve Viewed” feature keeps track of the photos, videos, and profiles you’ve viewed, displaying them in a list.
If you have it, it will appear between Saved Bags and Shopping Bags in your Instagram settings.

Where do I find the ‘Posts You’ve Seen’ feature on Instagram?
According to Navarra, the feature is “in beta” right now, so it won’t be available to all users.
He explains that it “shows any posts or profiles you’ve viewed in your feed”.
The bad news is that Instagram doesn’t guarantee the rollout of any of these features to all users.
Instagram regularly tests features, but not all of them make it to the live public version of the app.
Maybe Instagram will receive bad feedback about this feature and remove it completely.
What other features does Instagram have?
According to Navarra, Instagram is also working on creating other activity tracking features.
These include “Posts you commented on” and “Posts you submitted”.
They are also looking to improve existing features to make them more accessible to users.
Users previously had to meet a follower threshold to link through stories, but the new update means smaller accounts will be able to link in their own stories.
