One source claims executives and manufacturers are “smart and strategic” in how Sherri will replace the ailing diva during the day who sought help for many kinds health problems.

Sherri will have to balance doing her own show while also winning over hardcore Wendy’s fans, the insider explained.

“Sherri has to walk a tightrope between being her own woman and respecting what Wendy Accomplished.

“There are no major changes to the show itself. They want things to be familiar.

“Over the next few weeks, Sherri will be reaching out to Wendy’s fans.

“She wants to invite them along in this next chapter. You’ll see fan events with Sherri, Zoom calls, and she’s going to FaceTime viewers.

As The Sun previously reported, an insider said that Sherri was only in the role of a “permanent host”, so as not to offend fans.

“That is actually now it’s Sherri .’s show” said an insider.

A source close to The Wendy Williams Show says Wendy’s refusal to return calls or emails leaves the producers with no choice but to continue with Sherri without her blessing.

The insider added that the producer will wait to remove the Wendy’s logo and markings until September or even October, before fans are still holding out hope.

As a production source put it: “Sherri entered to win it. She knows this is the opportunity of a lifetime.”

As The Sun previously reported, Wendy has is not expected to return to her show for a while, and Sherri has been predicted was her replacement for many months.

Wendy’s health struggles

As The Sun previously reported, the daytime presenter has been battling a health crisis for months.

Sources say The Wendy Williams Show host has a witty, shrewd manner unlike before when she has faced multiple medical issues, including addiction, Graves’ disease and Covid.

A source close to the show told The Sun: “The spark is gone. That Wendy, who has been ten years with sparkling eyes, sly smile and little wink is not like now.”

Insiders add some days are better than others for the once fierce daytime diva.

“She wasn’t always as active as she used to be. She has days where she is need help eating, getting out of bed and getting dressed. ”

Even more heartbreaking, the source added, she doesn’t always recognize the people she’s known for years.

“There are people Wendy knows, has worked closely with her, and there are days when she doesn’t know who they are.”

Wendy hasn’t appeared on her show since July 2021, and the series has been hosted by celebrity guests including Sherri, Michael Rapaport, Leah Remini and Michelle Visage.
