Inside Trea Turner’s marriage to college friend and former gymnast Kristen Harabedian

AFTER two seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Trea Turner is back on the road.

In early December, the 29-year-old All-Star shortstop signed a monster 11-year contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.

His $300 million contract is the 11th most valuable in MLB and will net him just over $27 million annually.

Turner will travel to the city of brotherly love with his wife Kristen Harabedian and their one-year-old son Beckham Dash Turner.

The happy couple began dating when Turner was a freshman at NC State in 2012, according to SportsKeeda.

Harabedian was a four-time all-state gymnast at Hunterdon Central High School in New Jersey.

While at school, Harabedian was featured in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd in January 2010.

They wrote: “Kristen, a Hunterdon Central Regional High senior, won the uneven bars (9.775), balance beam (9.700) and floor exercise (9.475) at the state meeting, earning the all-around title and leading the Red Devils to a second-place finish .

“She was named New Jersey Gymnast of the Year and selected for all states for the fourth time.”

In 2011, she went to NC State, where she represented the Wolfpack women’s gymnastics team.

During her four years of college, Harabedian was a senior senior pick to the All-East Atlantic Gymnastics League on uneven bars and floor and was twice named to the All-Academic Team.

Turner was later selected in the first round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres and traded to the Washington Nationals a year later.

Then, in 2018, after a year of engagement, the couple tied the knot.

In February 2021, they welcomed son Beckham, and five months later, Turner was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Two All-Star appearances later, Turner emerged and was heading for his fourth home in MLB to date.
