Inside the new cruise ship launching next year with a three-story go-kart track, infinity pool and food court

A NEW cruise ship is launching next year – with a three-story track on board.
Norway’s new Viva ship will also have an infinity pool overlooking the ocean and an on-board outdoor food court.
The 3,219 passenger ship, to launch in December 2023, will feature a range of accommodations including 107 luxury suites in the private estate of The Haven.
Guests at The Haven will have private access to the sun terrace, outdoor spa and infinity pool.
The rest of the guests can explore the rest of the ship, including the three-level track, the Viva Speedway, where up to 15 riders can race to be the winner.
Games including The Drop, a 10-story dry slide, and The Rush, a duel slide, both already on the Prima cruise ship, will also be onboard.
Crazy golfing, flying theater and pub darts will all be part of the yachting experience along with the water park on board.
There are also more than 20 dining venues, including Indulge Food Hall with 11 dishes such as Texan Smokehouse, Mexican restaurant Los Lobos or Italian Onda by Scarpetta
Other features on the cruise ship include Infinity Beach, with its infinity pool at the edge of the deck, and the Oceanwalk glass bridge.
Reservations are open, with the cheapest being £704 for a seven-night cruise around the Caribbean.
Trips from Southampton start from £1,509, with the nine-day journey stopping at destinations in France, Spain, Portugal and Belgium.
Norwegian Cruise Line CEO Harry Sommer told Travel + Leisure: “The big focus here is the cruise. On Viva, we’re going to elevate it.
“We’re basically doing a tour across the Mediterranean: Lisbon, Ibiza, Palma, Barcelona, Florence, Rome, Naples, Sicily, Dubrovnik, Venice, Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, Istanbul – and that’s like a third of the ports we’re visiting.”
P&O unveiled its new £700m Iona cruise ship launched last year, with infinity pools and a luxury restaurant on board.
And Wonders of the Royal Caribbean Sea, their fifth Oasis-Class ship, will launch this year, with services from Europe.
