Inside Nicki Minaj’s most fiery feuds, including Cardi B, as rapper’s beef heats up with latto in the wake of the Grammy shake-up

NICKI Minaj has apparently picked her next target for her anger as the rapper appears to have added a new name to her grudge list.

The 39-year-old hitmaker has ignited a nasty Twitter war against fellow rapper Latto after a surprise move by Grammy organizers derailed her.

The beef began following the Recording Academy’s decision to move Nicki’s current hit song from the rap category to pop.

At the same time, rumor has it that Latto’s hit Big Energy, which shares a similar pop vibe, has been submitted for consideration in the coveted and less competitive rap category.

The move didn’t sit well with Nicki, who apparently felt her younger charge should have supported her and spoken out in her defence.

When Latto didn’t, Nicki clapped back at her, the Grammys, and anyone who would listen.

“I have no problem being lifted out of the RAP category as long as we are all treated FAIR.” Nicky tweeted. “If [Super Freaky Girl] RAP undressed, then Big Energy too!

“Anyone who says otherwise is just a Nicki hater or a troll. I’d really like to see a road record winner – male OR female! Right is right.”

Things continued after that as the two exchanged barbs and accusations throughout the night.

Nicki called Latto an “entitled Karen,” while Latto called her colleague a “40-year-old bully.”

“You won’t bully me, B***H!” Latto tweeted back. “My idol now became rival you hate!”

“Hate” is something Nicki knows a lot about, having been at the center of many feuds between big names and celebrities throughout her career.

Cardi B and Nicki have been at each other’s throats since 2017 after Nicki dissed Cardi’s then-boyfriend Offset on the track Swish Swish.

Later that same month, Cardi took to Instagram to hit back at Nicki by slyly talking about “idols becoming rivals.”

The following year, Cardi addressed the beef in an interview, saying, “I don’t really have the time for it. If you don’t fuck my husband or if you don’t take my money from me, if you don’t hold up my money, then I don’t really give a fuck about you.”

The feud seemed to escalate later that year after Cardi, 30, appeared to call out Nicki during a performance.

She explained: “You know that bitch, she never fucking liked me and suddenly she wants to be friends with me — no, bitch. I still don’t like you b***h.”

It all culminated at New York Fashion Week, where the two erupted in a physical fight after Cardi confronted Nicki about “spreading lies.” The pair were wearing chic dresses when the altercation broke out

According to reports at the time, Cardi even took off one of her red heels and tossed it to Nicki – but the shoe missed as she was protected by a tall security guard.

Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift

When Nicki didn’t receive a video of the year nomination for Anaconda at the 2015 VMAs, even though both Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus did, she took to Twitter to say, “When the ‘other’ girls put out a record-breaking video and Impact Does Culture get them this nomination.”

She added, “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you’ll be nominated for Video of the Year.”

To which Taylor replied: “Nicki Minaj I have done nothing but love and support you. It’s not like you to pit women against each other. Perhaps one of the men has taken your place.”

In an interview with The New York Times, Miley described Nicki as “not too friendly” and accused her of being jealous because she didn’t get a nomination.

Then drama unfolded at the 2015 VMAs when Nicki won the award for Best Hip Hop Video.

While receiving it, she turned to Miley to say, “Back to that bitch who had a lot to say about me in the press the other day; Miley, what’s good?”

“Nicki, congratulations,” Miley said.

The tension between the stars would last for years.

Sometimes Nicki meddles in someone else’s feud, like when she took a stand against Kevin Federline earlier this year.

Nicki’s interference came shortly after Britney Spears’ ex-husband revealed that her sons, Preston and Jayden “have decided that they will not see their mother “at the moment.”

In an Amp livestream shortly after, Nicki slammed the former backup dancer and questioned his own parenting skills.

“Do you understand what a clown you have to be to be a whole, grown damn man, and once you see someone happy, getting married and moving on and being free and feeling good in their own skin to do just that, that you know will try to destroy her?

“Only cowards use the media against a famous person they once loved, procreated with, are cared for, were once cared for, and use that person’s fame as that constant ‘gotcha’ moment .”

Nicki and Britney became friends while on tour together in 2011.

Nicki and Mariah Carey were expected to judge others when they both entered the 12th season of American Idol in 2013.

Instead, the two superstars drew attention to each other.

The duo had worked together before, having collaborated on the 2009 song Up Out My Face. So when they got in each other’s faces, fans were shocked.

Even before the season premiered, there were reports that Mariah and Nicki weren’t getting along on set.

Demi Lovato once said her experience at the 2016 Met Gala was so “terrible” that she almost started drinking after years of sobriety.

The actress and singer wouldn’t reveal who caused her so much pain, but revealed, “This one celebrity was a complete slut and was miserable to be around.”

It has long been speculated that Nicki was this celebrity.

Demi would further describe the experience as very cliquey.

“I remember feeling so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink.”

Their feud apparently began the night after the Met, when Nicki shared a picture to Instagram of herself posing alongside Demi and designer Jeremy Scott, both of whom were wearing.

But Nicki only tagged Jeremy.

Demi was annoyed at the lack of mention and commented with a laughing emoji, a peace sign and a thumbs up.
