Qerim is currently the host of First Take on ESPN and has held the role since 2015.

She must regularly scrutinize a lively sports panel when they deliver epic tirades, such as Stephen A. Smith’s recent gutting of the Cowboys.

Molly earned her stripes at the University of Connecticut, near Cheshire, where she grew up.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Business Administration from the prestigious school.

After graduating, Qerim studied for a masters in broadcast journalism at Quinnipiac University.

Following her subsequent success on television, she was inducted into the inaugural Class Hall of Fame in 2020.

Qerim got his first experience at ESPN in 2006 in the field of sports broadcasting and worked on their digital platforms for four years.

She made her broadcast arc at CBS and has hosted shows from UFC to NBA.

Molly hosted the popular “College Football Live” on ESPN before getting her big break in 2015.

She was invited to be the interim presenter of First Take in July of that year, and by September she had secured the role full-time.

Since then, Qerim has hosted the hit show — and even met her future husband over the debate table.

Molly married Jalen Rose in July 2018 after the couple dated for around two years.

The couple wed in a low-key ceremony in New York before flying to Turks and Caicos for their honeymoon.

Qerim spoke about her work-life balance just before tying the knot in 2018.

She told Uproxx, “I think balance is all we’re all trying to figure out, right?

“No matter what phase of life we are in, no matter what career and in what relationship.

“It’s just something I’m still learning and still juggling.

“Of course my career is demanding, but at the same time I love what I do.

“It’s all about prioritizing and working on your schedule so you can make anything happen.”

Ultimately, the couple didn’t make it through the course as Rose and Qerim divorced in 2021.

Jalen – a former NBA star – has since spoken out about their split and insists it was amicable.

He told GQ magazine: “I got love for her, we were friends before we got married, we just didn’t work as a couple.

“I only saw her today. We are cool! But seeing the speculation and people assuming that was the reason bothered me.”

Rose also addressed speculation that Qerim was allegedly dating fellow first taker Smith.

He continued, “In my personal relationship, it was ridiculous for me – to see [Qerim] and i are mutually breaking up agree on why we are breaking up and still see people speculating about it.

“Not just speculating — specifically saying it’s because she and Stephen A. Smith were in a relationship.

“I’m not here to speak for what he does in his personal life or what she does in her personal life, I have love for both of them.

“I would only say that for people who thought we broke up because they were in a relationship?

“Then I got swampland in Detroit to sell you for top dollar. That’s not why we broke up.”
