“KING Richard” Williams lives in a house his daughter Serena, a tennis legend, bought — after she gave away her childhood home to her stepmother for $10.
The 80-year-old, who has dementia and “irreparable brain damage,” signed a $10 lease to transfer the four-bedroom Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., property to his estranged wife, Lakeisha.
Richard bought the property with her mother, Oracene, in 1995 for $355,000 and divorced seven years later.
He says his signature was forged by Lakeisha so she could take out a $279,000 loan on a doomed trucking deal on the property, with the debt outstanding to date and at the center of a fierce legal battle.
Now, new court documents reveal Richard lives in the same city in a new home owned by Serena, who paid $815,000 for the one-story property in June 2015.
The location is perfect for Richard’s fragile condition, all on one floor and features four bedrooms, five bathrooms and over 4,160 square feet.
Business records indicate that the company “7743 Maywood Crest LLC” is located there, which Serena lists as “manager.”
It’s 16 miles from the home where he taught Serena and Venus on two tennis courts that still exist today.
The new location has been featured a few times on Instagram by Richard’s son, Chavoita Lesane.
Chavoita, 48, had been granted a power of attorney while Richard endured a messy divorce battle with third wife Lakeisha, 43, that came to a dramatic halt earlier this year when the couple were reportedly reconciled and enjoying a “simmering sex life” despite Richard’s medical ailments .
The house he once owned was in a terrible state when he sold it to his estranged wife.
Lakeisha was accused of forging Williams’ signature in order to have ownership transferred to her.
Then Williams’ estranged wife allegedly approached a lender, David Simon, for a loan issued on a failed truck deal.
There were also plans to auction the house, with the proceeds going to Simon, but Lakeisha reportedly allowed the state of the house to decay before filing for bankruptcy, halting the sale.
Richard and Lakeisha were called to testify about the house in court.
The house needed many repairs to the roof, dirty rooms and air conditioning to name a few.
In addition, the main house and the property were ransacked.
