The actor-turned-rapper-producer-turned-rapper-turned-producer has a net worth of a whopping $250 million and an estimated annual salary of $70 million.

From record sales to merch collaborations, there seems to be no end in sight to what Drake can do to make money.

Drake is one of the best-selling musical artists in history and has regularly been considered one of the highest-paid entertainers.

His time on Degrassi

Before releasing his first album, fans knew him as Jimmy Brooks, one of the main characters of Degrassi: The Next Generation.

His career began when he was just 15 in the first season, and he continued to work on the show through the eighth season.

At the time, his mother was very ill and they depended on his earnings from the show.

According to Celebrity Riches, he made $50,000, about $2,000 a month before taxes.

In an interview, Drake said: “We were very poor, like broke. The only money I got came from Canadian television.”

His transition to music

Drake started releasing mixtapes in 2006 but didn’t really get big until 2009.

His third mixtape, So Far Gone, featured Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Omarian and more artists.

Since then, each album has gone platinum at least four times.

Since then he has won 180 major awards, including four Grammys, and has worked with the likes of Rihanna, Kanye West and Jay-Z.

Through his albums alone, Drake has amassed $433 million from his music.

It is estimated that he rakes in a million dollars per concert.

A mansion in six years of construction

The music mogul is also into real estate.

In 2012, Drake bought a mansion for $7.7 million in cash.

The Hidden Hills, California property includes a 12,000-square-foot main house and a 2,000-square-foot “party house.”

He then named it YOLO Estate and when he was ready to sell it in March 2022, he listed it for $22.7 million.

But let’s go back to 2016 when the rapper dropped $6.7 million to buy a property in Toronto.

He has since spent over $100 million to build a 50,000 square foot mansion on two acres of land that was eventually completed in 2021.

Drake’s favorite spot in the house is his 3,200 square foot master bedroom – which has an additional 1,100 square feet of covered outdoor patios.

The single room has a kitchenette, a jacuzzi and a dressing room.

As for the rest of the home, there’s a regulation-sized NBA basketball court, glamorous chandeliers scattered throughout, and a restroom that plays soothing music while in use.

In 2022, it was reported that he spent over $70 million to buy a 20-acre Beverly Hills mansion from singer Robbie Williams.

All of this, along with the condo he has in downtown Toronto, equates to at least $100 million worth of real estate alone.

You have to spend money to make money, and Drake likes to spend.

Drake bought a Boeing 767 private jet and adorned it with the Air Drake name and logo.

The jet is valued at $185 million, but that’s understandable when it comes to the rest of his collection of $100,000 jewelry, cars, and an extensive wardrobe.
