India will start their Women’s World Cup 2022 campaign against Pakistan on March 6

India will start their ICC 2022 FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on March 6 at the Bay Oval in Taraunga.
The ICC announced the fixtures for the FIFA Women’s World Cup scheduled for next year in New Zealand earlier today on their official website. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies and Great Britain will participate in the eight-team competition.
Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Tauranga and Wellington will host the entire competition from March 4 to April 3 next year. Wellington will host the first semi-final, while Christchurch will host the second semi-final and final.
Hosts New Zealand will face the West Indies in the tournament’s opening match on March 4. The defending champions England will open the campaign against arch-rivals Australia.

The 2022 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be the first women’s cricket global event in two years.
The previous ICC event for female cricketers was the 2020 FIFA Women’s World Cup which took place in Australia before the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.
India has never won the 2022 Women’s World Cup before
Australia and England are the only two countries to have won the Women’s World Cup. Australia is a six-time champion, while England have won four times.
The Blue Women’s Team has twice reached the finals but lost both times. They were runners-up in the previous World Women’s Soccer Championship.
After the great war with Pakistan on March 6, India will lock horns with New Zealand (March 10), West Indies (March 12), Great Britain (March 16), Australia (March 19), Bangladesh (March 19). March 22) and South Africa (March 27).
