THIS is the shocking moment a tourist’s paraglider rope snapped in mid-air as he plummeted to the ground shortly after takeoff.
The incident happened on Las Gaviotas beach in Mazatlan, Mexico, and the man was taken to the hospital.
The clip begins with three people supporting the man as he is pulled forward by a boat.
He can be seen rapidly rising into the air, about 16 feet high before his harness snapped.
The paraglider, believed to be from Durango, quickly plunged into the beach.
According to local media, the collision sent him to the hospital with multiple fractures.
The incident took place last month and it is reported that authorities are investigating the incident.
Scary footage last October captured the moment paragliders collide in mid-air before plunging into the sea.
The incident occurred during an Olympic-style aerial game festival in Oludeiz, Turkey.
In September, Dan Burton, 54 years old, died after colliding with another paraglider in a record challenge around the UK.
Mr. Burton collided with “human swan” Sacha Dench, who seriously injured in the smash.
Another shocking clip shows the moment one paraglider’s slide failed twice- but she miraculously survived.
Maud Perrin, 20, was trying to do what’s known as the “infinity somersault” but miscalculating the timing caused her to fall into the canopy and get twisted into her parachute cord.
Luckily, her slide opened and, after initially getting tangled up in the tangled ropes and straps, Maud managed to drop into the skies over Ölüdeniz, Turkey.
