It is reported that the fearless man – wearing a black fur coat and jeans – found the roadside mine in Berdyansk before calmly moving it into the woods.

Footage shows the civilian carrying explosives across a road away from the bridge as he smokes.

And tonight, Boris Johnson described Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as “a disastrous, misguided act of risk on the part of President Putin” which “could lead to bad consequences” for Russia.

The prime minister told the Church of the Holy Family of Ukraine that he had “no hostility” toward the Russian people but that there was “no plausible reason” for the country’s leader to choose to invade Ukraine.

He insisted the UK would be “very generous” towards Ukrainian refugees coming to Britain, with a system that allows people to enter the country when they fear persecution, to reunite with family or “for other purposes”.

But Vitali Klitschko tonight denied Kyiv is “besieged” of the Russians – when he ordered Putin’s troops to “go home”.

As Russian troops approached the Ukrainian capital, the city’s mayor defiantly told the soldiers that “there is nothing to be found here in our house”.
