INAKI WILLIAMS’ crazy streak of 2,468 days missing a game for Athletic Bilbao has come to an end.
The 28-year-old Ghana international was not involved in Sunday’s 1-0 LaLiga defeat by Celta Vigo after suffering a muscle injury.

And it saw a sad end to his amazing tally of 251 straight games.
Williams’ amazing streak began on April 7, 2016.
He later set a new record for most consecutive games in the Spanish league in October 2021 after 203 consecutive games.
And last April, Williams went a staggering six years without missing a game.
The Spanish-born forward almost met a dramatic end to his run in August when he sustained an ankle injury.
It should break the record after 236 games.
But Williams pulled off a miracle cure after doctors initially feared he might miss several months of action.
Unfortunately for the Bilbao icon, his brilliant run ended today after 251 games.
