A FORMER Hooters server has been accused of cheering on the attackers in what police are calling a “massive bloodshed”.
Ashley Esselborn reportedly cheered on three people, including her boyfriend, as they beat 23-year-old Zachary Wood to death.
The foursome believed, according to the warrant, that Wood had stolen money and drugs from them.
Esselborn was charged with first-degree murder, although it’s unclear if she was involved in the fatal beating.
According to FOX, Esselborn confessed to police that she was at the home where Wood was brutally beaten.
She said she did not participate in the beating, but Payton Collier – one of the other attackers – said she instigated the beating.
FOX also reports that a server overheard Esselborn bragging about her involvement in the murder.
Esselborn also confessed to helping hide the bats and gloves used to beat Wood, police said.
She will be charged in Wichita Falls, Texas.
status of the criminal proceedings
The US Sun previously reported that Ashley Esselborn asked the judge to reduce her bail from $100,000 to $50,000.
Esselborn believed she could cover the $50,000 cost — in part with funds raised in her OnlyFans account.
She used the site to post self-created explicit content and charged fans $12 a month for viewing rights.
The judge denied the request, saying the bond had already been significantly reduced from its original $1 million.
Ronnie Lang, 18, William Bell, 28, and Collier, 27, are all charged with the murder of Zachary Wood.
Collier confessed to the murder and has begun serving his 50-year sentence.
Lang was also sentenced to 50 years, according to News6.
Bell was released on $200,000 bond.
All but Collier were offered a plea.
