In the FBI raid on the Mar-a-Lago resort, classified documents containing foreign nuclear secrets were seized after they “broke into Trump’s safe”.

The FBI has reportedly seized classified documents containing foreign nuclear secrets after raiding Donald Trump’s resort town of Mar-a-Lago.

Trump has spoken out against the search of his Florida home, saying that FBI agents “broke into my safe.”

A document obtained during the raid detailed the nuclear capabilities of a foreign government’s military defenses, the Washington Post reported Tuesday.

The Post did not disclose which country the document refers to, or that country’s relationship with the United States.

More details about the FBI’s Aug. 8 raid on the Mar-a-Lago compound continue to emerge.

According to court records, 11,000 government documents and photos were confiscated that night.

The Washington Post previously reported that many of these documents detailed top-secret operations that required special clearances beyond top-secret clearance.

The outlet also reports that the documents were limited to the point where senior members of the Biden administration’s security team did not have proper clearance to review them.

Trump remains under investigation by the DOJ for removing classified documents from the White House and storing them at his Florida residence after his term expired in January 2021.

The National Archives said it received 15 boxes of White House records from Trump’s Florida home.

Just last week, photos of the confiscated documents were released by the Justice Department.

The Justice Department said it had uncovered efforts to obstruct its investigation into the discovery of the classified documents at Trump’s Florida home.

On Monday, however, a federal judge agreed to appoint a special master to review documents seized in the FBI search — a request from Trump.

This move will likely result in a delay in the DOJ’s criminal investigation.

‘UNDER SIEGE’

Trump raged on social media as his estate was searched, claiming he was “under siege”.

“Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States,” Trump said in his official statement.

“Having worked and cooperated with the appropriate government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was neither necessary nor appropriate.”

He called the raid “arming the justice system” and blamed “radical left Democrats” who don’t want him running for president in 2024.

“I will keep fighting for the Great American People!” wrote the former President.
