“In my opinion, the rule is wrong”

Bulls Bengaluru Coach Randhir Sehrawat was completely disappointed with the referee’s decision to award eight points to Bengali Warrior in match number 67 of Pro Kabaddi 2022.

The Bulls prevailed over the Warriors and took a six-point lead on 29 minutes. Mohammad Nabibakhsh then went on a raid for the Kolkata-based franchise and walked into the hallway without a hitch. Six of Bengaluru’s defenders followed him to the foyer.

As a result, the referee awarded one point to the Bulls and eight points to the Warriors. This raid resulted in a 39-40 defeat by the Bulls. Speaking to the media after the game, Bulls coach Randhir Sehrawat expressed his displeasure and said:

“In my opinion, the rule is wrong. He is going to commit suicide, and you are giving him eight points. He committed suicide. What was the mistake of my players? It was completely wrong. It was a mistake. the right side, but because of that rule, the outcome didn’t go our way.”

If we had only one second left, we would have won the match: Bengaluru Bulls coach Randhir Sehrawat

Randhir Sehrawat added that although luck did not favor his team, his players performed brilliantly. He believes that if the Bulls have one more second, they will overturn the deficit and win the game. Sehrawat concludes:

“It was not our day. However, our players played very well. If we had only one more second, we would have won the game. Not even 2, just 1 second.”

The Bengaluru Bulls will compete on Sunday against the Gujarat Giants in a rematch of the sixth edition final. When these two teams went head-to-head in the first half of the season, the Bulls prevailed thanks to the dazzling form of Pawan Sehrawat. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top in the reverse matchup.
