THE NEW MOVIE
The film will delve into Jodi’s life as she awaited trial for murdering her boyfriend, Travis Alexander.
While awaiting trial, Jodi makes her way through prison and befriends married couple Donovan and Tracy.
Jodi manipulates the couple into doing anything she pleases, including getting her name tattooed on one of them.
However, Donovan was released before Jodi’s trial and agreed to be Jodi’s voice on social media.

But when the details of Jodi’s story didn’t materialize, Donovan refused to maintain the friendship – leaving Jodi vindictive.
It stars Celina Sinden, Tricia Black, Lynn Rafferty, Karl Campbell, Adesola Adesina, Michelle Haffey, Christine Noble and Maggie Cassella.
AN APPARENTLY HAPPY COUPLE

The two met at a PrePaid Legal Services conference in Las Vegas, Nevada in September 2006 when Travis was working as a sales representative.
He was reportedly in love with the beautiful and seemingly carefree aspiring photographer.
Arias and Alexander started dating in early 2007 and she moved to Arizona from California to be closer to him.
In an email to a then-friend, Alexander shared his strong feelings for Arias.
He wrote: “I was fascinated by her, cared for her, cared for her deeply and realized how lucky I would be to have her as a part of my life forever…she is amazing.”
“It’s not hard to see that anyone who meets Jodi, whether it’s me or someone else, is going to win the women’s lottery.”
AN ALIEN RELATIONSHIP

Travis was a devout Mormon and reportedly felt guilty about the sexual aspects of their relationship.
Shanna Hogan, an author and journalist who wrote the book Picture Perfect: The Jodi Arias Story, said, “You both sin in the eyes of his church.
“Travis wanted to marry a virgin, all-Mormon girl, and by having sex with him, Jodi eliminated herself as a marriage potential for Travis.”
Although Jodi was baptized in the Mormon Church, the couple separated in 2007 after a five-month relationship.
She then moved back to California to live with her grandparents but continued in a long-distance relationship with Alexander.
Both of them took turns visiting each other from state to state for almost a year and a half.
Arias became increasingly possessive to the extent that some people warned Alexander that they feared she was dangerous.
THE MURDER

In June 2008, Travis reportedly asked Jodi to accompany him on a work trip to Cancun, but changed his mind shortly before the trip.
Jodi tried calling Travis on June 2, but he didn’t answer.
The two ended up speaking for about 18 minutes on one phone call and on a second that lasted 41 minutes.
She made her way south in the early hours to rent a car for a trip to Utah.
Alexander was due to attend a conference call on June 4 but missed it.
On-camera photos showed the estranged couple had sex on June 4, 2008 — the day Travis was brutally murdered.
After Travis had sex that day, he was showering when Jodi walked in and started attacking him while documenting the sick man’s murder on camera.
The last living pictures of him were of Travis bleeding to death in the shower.
On June 9, Alexander’s friends became concerned after not hearing from him and went to his apartment to check on him.
His friends entered his bedroom and discovered large pools of blood in the hallway, only to later discover his body in the shower.
Alexander was shot with a .25 caliber cartridge.
He had been stabbed and shot in the head at least 27 times. His throat had been cut from ear to ear and he was nearly decapitated.
Cuts on his hands indicated he was trying to defend himself.
THE PROCESS

Faced with the death penalty, Jodi based her case on allegations that she acted in self-defense.
She also explained that despite her own obsession, Travis was possessive of her ex-boyfriend.
The jury convicted her after she was shown pictures of the blood-stained towels she allegedly tried to clean and the bathroom covered in Travis’ blood following his brutal assassination.

When friends found Travis’ body after becoming concerned for his well-being, they immediately pointed to Jodi, who he reportedly said was stalking him.
But Jodi, then 26, initially denied seeing Alexander on the day of his death, then claimed two men killed him in a home invasion, before changing her story back to self-defense.
