THAT danger! The contestants went from competitors to lovers after meeting on the show and marrying nine years later.
The two met in 2012 during Jeopardy! College Championship before accidentally reuniting years later in Washington DC.

The trivia show published the romance of Sarah Bauer and Greer Mackebee alongside other alumni stories on its website.
“Greer Mackebee and I, as participants in the Jeopardy! College Championship 2012,” Bauer wrote on the website.
“In fact, we were in the same Jeopardy! audition months before the call to enter the tournament.”
Bauer said they fulfilled a lifelong dream that day as both of their families are avid viewers of the program.


“Greer beat me in our first-round match, but I managed to forgive him,” she said slyly.
Bauer represented Indiana University in the game while Mackebee represented Duke University.
Mackebee was a semifinalist at the 2012 college championship and won a $10,000 prize.
“Of course, when we were both working for attorneys in Washington DC a few years after our tournament aired, we put together a trivia team,” Bauer continued.
“We finally had our first date in over six years after Jeopardy! brought us together for the first time and we are still happily together today. And of course we’re still watching Jeopardy!
The sharp couple wed on the beach at Longboat Key in 2021, Your Observer reported.
This comes as the US Sun revealed clues as to who Jeopardy! will host permanently! as Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik compete to replace Alex Trebek.
While both hosts have had their share of screen glitches, fans have made it very clear which host they prefer.
