In Delaware, Biden’s New German Shepherd Gets Pup-arazzi Attention – NBC10 Philadelphia

President Joe Biden’s new puppy, Commander, had his moment under the flashing lights of the Washington press delegation – and a while playing on the beach – on Tuesday.
Biden and first lady Jill Biden walk their German Shepherd dog near their second home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Commander was born on September 1 and arrived at the White House last week, a birthday present from the president’s brother, James Biden, and sister-in-law Sara Biden. Biden introduced the Commander in a tweet. He turned 79 years old in November.
The Commander is the third German Shepherd that Biden has welcomed to the White House. Champ died in June at the age of 13. The other dog, Major, 3, is now living with family friends in Delaware after behaving aggressively while living in the White House.
The Bidens are spending the holidays between their homes in Delaware.
