In chilling fashion, Texas Killing Fields have been unearthed after a dog wearing a skull revealed a diseased mass grave containing 30 victims

A DOG bearing a human skull helped dig up the first of four victims found at the same property later known as the Texas Killing Fields.

At least 30 people – mostly women and girls – were found dead on a 50-mile strip of land that runs from Houston to Galveston between 1971 and 2006.

But between 1983 and 1991 four women were found dead on Culver Road in League City.

Investigators at the time suspected that her death was connected to the work of a serial killer.

According to Texas Monthly, the women were all found with their hands tied behind their backs and naked.

Bartender Heidi Fye, 23, disappeared in October 1983 before being found dead in an oil field.

Coroners conducted DNA tests and identified her remains after months later a dog was seen with a skull in its mouth.

The cocktail waitress disappeared without a trace after leaving her parents’ home to be driven to Houston with her partner.

But she never made it into town.

The coroner revealed that Faye had suffered broken ribs and had been clubbed.

They suspect she may have died from blunt trauma to the head.

Laura Miller, 16, disappeared after trying to call her boyfriend at a store in 1984.

The teenager lived just a few blocks from Faye, according to the Washington Post.

Her home phone wasn’t set up yet, so she went to a store to make a call that turned out to be unfortunate.

Miller’s body was not found until more than 17 months after she called.

Her father Tim is still fighting for justice almost four decades later.

He said, “If you want to commit a crime, do it here because they can’t solve it.”

MYSTERIOUS MURDERS

Tim told The Guardian in 2018 that his daughter had a “history of depression” and battled anxiety.

Audrey Cook’s body was found next to Miller, but her remains were not officially identified until April 2019.

Cook was known as Jane Doe before her body was positively identified.

It has since emerged that Cook sent letters every few weeks to her family, who lived in Memphis, Tennessee.

According to ABC13, she opened up about the weather and missing her home.

But her aunt, Shirley Love, claimed that Cook “took someone’s joy.”

A fourth victim, later identified as Donna Prudhomme, was also discovered.

Mark Stalling appeared to confess to killing Prudhomme but has not been charged, Newsweek revealed.

He is also a suspect in connection with the death of Audrey Cook.

The four murders remain shrouded in mystery and former NASA engineer Robert Abel was also among the accused suspects.

Journalist Skip Hollandsworth said Abel was a “shy character”.

Hollandsworth added that he put his hands in his pockets as he spoke.

And Abel used to walk “stiffly” as he suffered from back pain, according to the reporter.

Miller described Abel as an “odd character,” but not one that most would find “threatening.”

But despite executing a search warrant, officers could not find any physical evidence linking Abel to the murders.

Abel was killed in July 2005 when he drove a golf cart onto the tracks and was hit by a train.
