In an insane £70m ‘flying’ yacht with huge wings so you can glide across the sea at breathtaking speeds

PLANS for an insane £70million ‘flying’ yacht that will have massive wings so it can glide across the water have been revealed.
The spectacular 242-foot plectrum uses a foil system to soar above the waves and zoom at up to 75 knots.

The futuristic plans were released by Italian design firm Lazzarini, who said the hull shape was inspired by the latest America’s Cup sailboats.
The yacht could lift above the water surface thanks to three hydrogen-powered engines, each with 5000 hp.
Described by Lazzarini as a “super light yacht”, Plectrum is designed to be composed and constructed entirely of dry carbon fiber composites.
This helps it achieve its impressive speeds.
The ship is divided into four levels and the main part offers six guest cabins and a shipowner’s suite.
It features a helicopter hangar, a central garage for two dinghies and a stern garage for water toys and a supercar.
Lazzarini explained: “The plectrum is a concept that can be built on demand with a budget of 80 million euros.”
The Italian studio is known for its innovative designs, including the incredible 500-foot ‘air yacht’ that can both fly and sail.
Made of super-lightweight carbon fiber, it consists of two huge 150-meter airships connected to an 80-meter fuselage by four central bridges.
The firm has also released a plan for a £6.8 billion floating city called Pangeos.
