GET a peek inside this spooky abandoned mansion frozen in time – with the dining table still set for dinner.
The former family home in France now resembles the set of a post-apocalyptic horror film after being covered in mold.
Urban explorer Yannik, 21, ventured into the pad, abandoned for 18 years, to document its shocking demise.
The TikToker from Germany found the rotten residence that has been likened to the setting of the spooky video game Resident Evil.
He filmed his terrifying journey into the decaying house that has been trapped in the past for almost two decades.
Yannik first walks down a dimly lit hallway plastered with dirt and grime with pieces of furniture still hanging from it for life.
Armed only with his flashlight, the 21-year-old then enters a bedroom blackened with thick layers of mold.
Spurs cover the walls from floor to ceiling, while a double bed and other furniture remain in their original place.
The urban explorer then heads to the kitchen, tainted by years of neglect.
Objects are strewn about the worktops at random – as if Yannik had interrupted the previous owners while they were rustling food.
He continued to explore the spooky house before stumbling across a large dining room – also infested with thick black mold.
The four-seater dining table still remains set while the wallpaper is peeling off after almost two decades.
The living room is pictured in a similar condition, with formerly luxurious furniture left to decay.
A majestic piano, caked in dust and dirt, sits next to a majestic but now rusted fireplace and distressed patterned sofas.
The extraordinary decline of the property since it was taken over by the new tenant left social media users in awe.
Yannik’s clip quickly went viral, amassing over 10 million views and 442,000 likes.
One shocked user commented, “The fact that you can see the spores flying around on the camera.”
Another wrote: “Kind of looks like it’s underwater. You’re swimming in form.”
A third said: “Resident Evil 7 Vibes.”
And a fourth added: “It’s dangerously beautiful.”
Yannik explained he managed to find some information about the former owners after searching their crumbling house.
The Urban Explorer told NeedToKnow.online: “You never know what to expect in these places.
“You really get the feeling that time stands still for a moment. I have never seen so much mold in a house.
“A friend from France gave me some pointers for the place and after a while I found it via google satellite so I just picked up a friend and we drove to this place for 7 hours.
“At the place we found some documents of the former people who lived there.
“The last date I found was 2004, so it was abandoned around that time
“They were both quite successful in their lives – the man worked in a bank in town, but I couldn’t find out anything about the woman’s work.
“The woman played some songs on the piano. They had no children and died in 2004.
“Their home hasn’t been looked after since then and in France they have a really weird inheritance system so the house has since fallen into disrepair.”
He started exploring cities in 2019 and decided to document his strange finds on camera as he traveled through Europe.
The 21-year-old explained his focus now is on finding furnished abandoned apartments “where everything is left behind”.
